Lowlanders down Husaria

The Primacol Białystok Lowlanders were again successful in their quest for a first-round playoff bye on Saturday, defeating the visiting Husaria Szczecin 40-0. The Lowlanders scored six touchdowns in the ballgame and Jabari Harris had a hand in five of them, throwing for three scores and running for two more.

The Lowlanders built a 27-0 halftime lead, largely on the strength of a pair of second quarter touchdown receptions by Ronald Long. Tomasz Żukowski ran an interception back 35 yards for a touchdown in between Long's scores, leading the Lowlanders defense to a second consecutive shutout.

Bartłomiej Trubaj scored the only points of the third quarter on a 1-yard reception, his second touchdown of the season, and Harris wrapped up the scoring in the final frame with a 7-yard touchdown run. By that time, however, it was clear that it was not to be on this day for Husaria, who are now assured of finishing the regular season in fifth place. That means they will host the sixth seed in the wild card round of the playoffs on June 4.
