Terrence Owens threw for five touchdowns and the Seahawks moved a full game ahead of the field in the Topliga standings on Sunday as Gdynia easily defeated the visiting Husaria Szczecin 45-7. Husaria dropped to 1-3 and sixth place in the standings, ahead of only the winless Kozły Poznań.
Joshua Quezada scored twice for the Seahawks, leapfrogging Rickey Stevens for the league lead in rushing touchdowns in the process. Still, it was Owens who was the main story, as he increased his season tally to 8 touchdown passes, matching Jabari Harris of the Białystok Lowlanders at the top of the stat pack. Owens distributed his quintet of scoring tosses to four different receivers.
Paweł Henicz was the first recipient, scoring from 18 yards out early in the first quarter. Gdynia made it 13-0 after twelve minutes when Damian Bijan found the end zone, and Quezada made it 20-0 at the break with a 2-yard run. Jakub Mazan scored twice, the second touchdown coming on a 42-yard reception in the fourth quarter after James Williams had given Husaria their only points with a touchdown reception of his own.
