Lowlanders shutout Kozły

The visiting Primacol Białystok Lowlanders put on a show on both sides of the football on Saturday and five different players found the end zone in a 35-0 whitewashing of Kozły Poznań. The win was the second straight for the Lowlanders, who now hold a share of second place in the Topliga. Kozły, meanwhile, dropped to 0-2, and are the only team in the first division without a win in 2016.

Białystok dominated the first half with four touchdowns en route to a 28-0 halftime lead. They scored in a variety of ways, starting with a 1-yard touchdown pass from Jabari Harris to Ronald Long. Krzysztof Czaplejewicz followed that with a 10-yard touchdown run, and Adam Matowicki picked up a fumble at the Kozły 2-yard line and scored from there to make it 21-0.

The Lowlanders' other points came on a touchdown reception by Bartłomiej Trubaj and a Damian Kołpak touchdown run. The score by Trubaj was the eighth touchdown pass of the season for Harris, who leads the league in that category. Three of those eight touchdowns have gone to Long, who has scored in each of Białystok's three games so far this season.
