Sharks sunk by Husaria

Dylan Rauch threw a pair of touchdown passes and the Husaria defense held the Warsaw Sharks to just a single score as Szczecin recorded a 24-6 win over the visitors from the capital on Saturday. The result left both teams with records of 1-1.

Husaria scored first on a 33-yard Przemysław Adamus field goal in the first quarter, a lead they failed to extend when the kicker missed a 40-yarder later in the frame. Christian Foster hauled in a 35-yard scoring toss from Rauch inside the two-minute mark of the second quarter, however, to give Szczecin a 10-0 lead at the intermission.

Mateusz Knop made it 17-0 with a 22-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter, but the Sharks answered with a short touchdown run from Mikołaj Pawlaczyk that kept the game from getting out of hand. Nonetheless, James Williams iced the contest for Husaria shortly thereafter with a 24-yard touchdown run. Husaria has now beaten the Sharks all three times the two teams have met.
