The Białystok Lowlanders got four touchdown passes from Jabari Harris on Sunday in Poznań, overcoming a three-touchdown performance by Łukasz Bentka to defeat Kozły 46-26. The Lowlanders strengthened their bid for the third seed in the Topliga playoffs with the victory, a spot they could wrap up with a win in their final game of the regular season.
Bentka got the home team on the board first, scoring from two yards out in the opening quarter. Białystok would score the game's next 26 points, however, taking the lead on a 35-yard touchdown reception by Łukasz Czaczkowski in the second quarter. Eryk Mąkowski followed that up with an incredible 90-yard touchdown catch to make it 20-8 at halftime.
Alexander Allen extended the lead to 26-8 early in the third quarter on Harris's third touchdown pass of the game, before Kozły finally got back on the scoreboard on a 15-yard touchdown run by Jeremy Dixon. Allen scored again on a 37-yard run in the fourth quarter, giving him 9 rushing touchdowns on the season.
Trailing 39-14, Kozły rallied to cut the deficit to 13 points on a pair of Dixon-to-Bentka touchdown passes, but Czaczkowski put an end to any comeback thoughts with his second touchdown of the ballgame. That score gave the Lowlanders 46 points, matching their largest offensive outburst of the season.
The Lowlanders will finish out the regular season with a home date against the 1-7 Warsaw Sharks on June 12. A win in that game would pit Białystok against the Gdynia Seahawks in the Topliga semifinals, while a loss would mean a meeting with the Wrocław Panthers. Kozły, now assured of finishing the season in last place, will finish the year against the Panthers in Wrocław on June 13.
Kozły (1-8): at Wrocław Panthers (9-0), Saturday, June 13, 12:30 PM
